8/10 Morning Buzz

Pa. Could Figure Big On The Debt “Super Committee.”  Rep. Allyson Schwartz is seen a heavy favorite for a seat on the 12-member panel, and Senator Pat Toomey has a clear path to one of the Senate Republican spots.

The campaign committees have set aside their tentative truce from the debt ceiling negotiations and are dialing up the political attacks. The NRCC is hitting Rep. Jason Altmire over the Balanced Budget Amendment. He supports a BBA, but opposed the House GOP’s Cut, Cap and Balance measure. And the DCCC is Keeping up its Medicare-Themed attacks on four PA Reps: Charlie Dent, Mike Fitzpatrick and Pat Meehan with robocalls, and Lou Barletta with a radio ad.
