Air War Begins in PA-4

The crowded GOP primary in the race to replace Rep. Todd Platts will likely come down, at least in part, to which candidate runs the strongest media campaign.

Wednesday, Chris Reilly became the first candidate on the air. He launched a 60-second radio ad boasting of his accomplishments as York County Commissioner.

“Chris Reilly put his conservative ideas into action as county commissioner. He cut government fat and got rid of 59 unneeded government positions,” reads a male voice. “He didn’t stop there. Chris Reilly even gave back his own pay increase.”

The ad is airing on some of the classic rock and country stations in the district.

Tony Gray is a campaign adviser to Scott Perry, a State Rep. also seeking the seat. He dismissed the ad.

“Scott is taking a page out of the [Platts] handbook by focusing on the ground game. We turned in 3400 petition signatures, many more than any other campaign and have already canvased 5000 doors,” he said.

“Our paid media campaign will start soon.”

  1. You really need to do your research if you think this guy is part of the GOP establishment.

  2. I’m not sure if PA needs another GOP Establishment politician in the US Congress. I’m sick of their games and attitudes.
