It’s poll-a-palooza in Pennsylvania today, as Angus Reid Public Opinion has released a poll showing President Obama with a double digit lead.
The poll shows Obama up 48 percent to Mitt Romney’s 39 percent among likely, 4 points higher than the Morning Call/Muhlenberg poll also released Monday.
The firm also released the head-to-head numbers for decided likely voters. There, Obama lead 52 percent to 42. An earlier version of this story reported those numbers as the poll’s topline when in fact the 48-39 is an apples-to-apples comparison to all other polls.
From Angus Reid, a firm based in Canada:
“Obama holds a 14-point advantage among women (55 percent to 41 percent) and a five-point edge among men (49 percent to 44 percent).”
“Decided voters aged 18-to-34 select Obama over Romney by a 3-to-1 margin (60 percent to 21 percent), while those aged 35-to-54 are almost evenly divided (44 percent would support Obama; 42 percent would cast a ballot for Romney.”
Angus Reid surveyed 559 voters from Oct 18-20. The sampling error is +/- 4.2 percent.

There are so many pitfalls with online polls I don’t trust them much.

Angus Reid polls the paid-for-survey members of Springboard America. I suspect this ‘sampling’ of voters mirrors the population who spend their days completing on-line contests and sweepstakes. Nice try, though!
Did they poll anyone outside of Filthadephia? I don’t believe Romney will pull out PA, but I certainly don’t believe Obama will win by 10, or anywhere near what he did in 2008. I say Obama will win PA by 3. Of course, a lot depends on the jobs report released on Nov.2nd.
