Dan Onorato’s campaign is talking with former President Bill Clinton about campaigning with the Democratic gubernatorial nominee, but no final agreement has been reached about a possible appearance, a spokesman for Onorato said Monday.

State Senator Daylin Leach tweeted earlier Monday that the former president was coming to Philadelphia on Aug. 10 for the candidate, but Onorato spokesman Brian Herman said the appearance, while being discussed, hasn’t been confirmed.

“It’s not for sure,” said Herman, who added that the campaign is in talks many high-profile Onorato supporters, including President Barack Obama, about making a stop on the campaign trail.

“There are a lot discussions, not a lot of details,” he said.

An event including Clinton, who has actively campaigned for Democrats across the country this year, would hardly be surprise for Onorato’s high-profile battle with Republican Tom Corbett. The former president, who remains popular in Pennsylvania, campaigned for Democratic congressional candidate Mark Critz days before his special election in May.
