It appeared to all be falling into place.
Congressman Lou Barletta, who was an early endorser of Donald Trump, sits on the House Transportation Committee and is a member of his transition team, was being talked about as a possible Secretary of Transportation.
Then this morning, just hours before Rep. Barletta was set to meet with the President-Elect, we learned that a decision was coming soon.
The Secretary of Transportation was going to be…Elaine Chao. Chao served in the George W. Bush Administration as Secretary of Labor, the only cabinet member to last all eight years. She was also Deputy Secretary of Transportation in the George H.W. Bush Administration. Finally, she is married to Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell.
Despite the seeming disappoint, though, Congressman Barletta was unfazed. Perhaps because he has another position in mind.

Lou Barletta would just love dealing with the Hispanics as head of Labor Dept. Maybe have his own Deportation squad?
Really just goes to show you that Trump isn’t looking for expertise; he’s looking for loyalists.
Especially ironic considering his dismal treatment of organized labor.
They are apparently looking at him for Labor!
