Bartos Files Statement of Candidacy for Possible 2022 Senate Bid

One step closer for the Montgomery County Republican to formally joining the 2022 race.

Jeff Bartos, a real estate developer who was the GOP Lt. Governor nominee in 2018, filed a statement of candidacy this week with the Federal Elections Commission for U.S. Senate.

Bartos hasn’t formally announced a bid for the seat, but told the Philadelphia Inquirer a few weeks ago that he is “very seriously considering a run” to succeed GOP Sen. Pat Toomey, who is retiring at the end of his current term. He expects to come to a final decision by mid-March.

“If there’s one thing that’s painfully obvious, it’s that D.C. elites are more focused on settling yesterday’s political scores than doing a single damn thing to help working families,” said Conor McGuinness, spokesman for Bartos to PoliticsPA. “After being ignored by D.C. elites for generations, working families in Pennsylvania deserve to have someone fighting for them – and that’s why Jeff is looking seriously at running for U.S. Senate.”

Bartos also made another move this week to seemingly signal his interest in the race. On Tuesday, the Pennsylvania 30 Day Fund, a nonprofit that was founded to aid small businesses and their employees in response to the COVID-19 pandemic, announced that Bartos is “stepping back from day-to-day operations.” Bartos is a board chair and co-founder of the nonprofit.

In August 2019, Bartos was tapped to serve as the Pennsylvania Republican Party Finance Committee Chairman

Everett Stern, a famed whistleblower and businessman, and Sean Gale, an attorney, have formally announced their entrance into the GOP race for Senate, although it is reported that a several other Republicans are also interested in joining the race. According to Politico, Republicans that are reportedly interested in succeeding Toomey include Reps. Mike Kelly (R-Butler), Guy Reschenthaler (R-Allegheny), former Congressman Ryan Costello (R-Chester), former Navy Secretary Kenneth Braithwaite, former gubernatorial candidate Paul Mango, former U.S. Attorney Bill McSwain, former U.S. Ambassador Carla Sands, business consultant Craig Snyder, and former congressional candidate Sean Parnell.

  1. Please, who wants another fringe insider. Party needs a full makeover not a nose job. Stern all the way!!’

  2. Bartos better be on the Trump bandwagon. If he is, I will give him my total and complete endorsement

  3. He will be SO good. He is strikingly sexy, a tall, handsome statue of a man. Look at his softly-flowing hair and his muscles, and the way he confidently strides onto the political stage. I will be voting for this man with every fiber of my being.

    1. Go check out some younger photos of “sexy” Jeff Bartos. He had a massive nose job and other plastic surgery. He is hardly recognizable.

  4. Jeff Bartos will never have my support. He cannot be trusted and I know this because he did not keep his word to me last time he was around and running for office. When I called him on it, he gave some lame excuse that he had to because of this and that. Typical political double speaker. Do not support Jeff Bartos!

  5. Ok, so the cone head Gale brothers are nothing more than a dime store wackadoodle version of Don Jr. and Eric. Running on the Drain the Swamp nonsense…. do Republicans even realize, TRUMP WAS THE SWAMP. He used the DOJ as his own legal service, golfed for 4 years at the tax payers expense and REALLY…. I MEAN R E A L L Y – the 4 years of Trump accomplished NOTHING and set back the USA decades in the eyes of our allies and the rest of the world. REJECT ANY REPUBLICAN THAT SEEKS TO RUN UNDER ANY SORT OF TRUMP BANNER.

    1. You are an absolute clown and you are the one mistaken “huck” trump did more for America in 4 years than the dems do in a century. Just another radical leftist dumbbell you are
