This Montgomery County Republican seeking the GOP nomination for U.S. Senate has raised over $1 million for the second consecutive quarter.
Jeff Bartos, a Montgomery County real estate developer who was the GOP Lt. Governor nominee in 2018, announced on Tuesday that his campaign raised over $1 million in the second quarter of 2021.
“We are building a movement from the ground up, and this second strong fundraising quarter shows the excitement of everyday Pennsylvanians across all corners of the Commonwealth,” continued Bartos, “Our campaign is proving each and every day that we will raise the resources necessary to bring the fight to whichever radical Democrat is on the ballot in November of 2022.”

The press release from Bartos’ campaign did not mention how much he spent from the beginning of April to the end of June and how much cash on hand his campaign had entering the beginning of July.
Bartos, who joined the race on March 8, raised slightly under $1.2 million in the first quarter. However, of the nearly $1.2 million raised last quarter, $400,000 of it was from a loan he gave to his campaign.
Bartos spent $65,000 in the first quarter and entered April with $1.1 million cash on hand. His $1.2 million Q1 haul is more than any other GOP candidate that quarter.
Bartos is currently the lone GOP candidate to announce his Q2 haul.
Several other Republicans are also in the race to succeed outgoing Sen. Pat Toomey.
Kathy Barnette, a veteran and conservative commentator who was the GOP nominee for Pennsylvania’s 4th Congressional District in 2020; Sean Gale, an attorney; Sean Parnell, a combat veteran and author who was the GOP nominee for the 17th Congressional District in 2020; Carla Sands, former U.S. Ambassador to Denmark during President Donald Trump’s administration; Everett Stern, a businessman and HSBC whistleblower, have all formally declared their intentions for the GOP nomination.
According to the FEC, Craig Snyder, a political consultant and former chief of staff to Sen. Arlen Specter, James Edward Hayes, John Debellis, Martin Rosenfeld, and Robert Jeffries have also filed statements of candidacy.

Batros as we call him, is a weenie. 2x loser. And he sways in the wind when it comes to positions. Guarantee you he doesn’t make it through the Primary. If Carla Sands puts in the money she says she is going to, she wins going away. Bye bye baby Batros!
1 million is “you have a seat at the card table” money. It’s serious fundraising. Lot of political fantasy camp candidates right now who have zero chance. 1 million makes you serious. Puts you in the game.
Bartos can straddle the Trump wing and traditional R wing of the party better than most which is needed to coalesce the party and have any shot at defeating the left. Back a damn horse Lawrence Tabas! Stop letting the party divide and destroy itself. And if you think the woman who spent most of the last three decades in CA is the pick, you’re delusional. PA doesn’t want a carpetbagger. And dirt is gonna come out making Parnell not viable. Stop dickering around.
Half of PA’s Congressional delegation is “carpetbaggers”, so ya know. Meuser, Thompson, Reschenthaler etc. do not even live in the district they represent.
This race is Sands’s race to lose.
Not sure about Mueser and Reschentrumper, but GT lives in his district.
So he’s rich and is shaking down rich friends for contributions. Says nothing good about his ability to govern or his philosophies of government.
