Biden and Trump To Visit Flight 93 Memorial on 9/11

President Donald Trump and former Vice President Joe Biden will both visit the annual September 11 Observance at Flight 93 National Memorial near Shanksville. Although both will be present at the national memorial, it is unclear if their visits will overlap, according to the AP.

The National Park Service’s website announced that the ceremonies will begin at 9:45 am on Friday, although at the request of the Families of Flight 93 and in order to follow the state’s public health guidelines in response to slowing the spread of COVID-19, the event will be held privately. The names of the 40 passengers and crew members who died in the crash will be read. This year’s event will not feature a keynote speaker or musical guests. The observance will be livestreamed

Trump, Gov. Tom Wolf, former Gov. Mark Schweiker, and previous United States Secretary of the Interior Ryan Zinke spoke at the ceremony in 2018. Vice President Mike Pence paid tribute and spoke at the memorial service in 2019. Biden previously attended and spoke the memorial during his time as Vice President.

  1. It’s a sad yet powerful and ultimately positive part of American and Pa history in terms of how brave the passengers were fighting the terrorists and most likely averting another target being hit and greater loss of life. The movie of this event was out years ago and a fitting tribute to the passengers.

  2. Trump will likely denigrate the Flight 73 heroes as losers, not heroes, because he likes people who don’t crash.
