Biden To Travel To Gettysburg

Former Vice President Joe Biden will return to the Keystone State on Tuesday.

Biden will travel to Gettysburg to deliver remarks “calling on Americans to come together,” according to a release from his campaign.

“He will remind voters that we are in a battle for the soul of the nation — but it’s a battle that we’ve won again and again throughout American history, and that we can and will come together and win again,” the press release reads.

Both presidential tickets have been active in Pennsylvania over the past few months.

Biden is the most recent candidate to visit the state. Last Wednesday, Biden made multiple stops in western PA as a part of the campaign’s “Build Back Better Express” train tour. Vice President Mike Pence headlined a presidential debate watch party in Lancaster County on Tuesday.

Two weeks ago, President Donald Trump held two rallies in the state at airport hangars- one in Harrisburg and the other in Pittsburgh. Trump was slated to meet with firefighters in Philadelphia on Sunday after IAFF Local 22 endorsed Trump over Biden, but the event was cancelled after the president tested positive for COVID-19.

Sen. Kamala Harris’s last campaign visit in the state was on Sept. 17 in Philadelphia.

Recent polling indicates that Biden has an advantage over Trump in the state. The Real Clear Politics Average shows Biden besting Trump by 6.6 points in Pennsylvania.

This story was updated to note that Biden will be delivering an address in Gettysburg on Tuesday.

  1. Ha ha ha ha ha….
Maybe he will get 15 to 20 to attend
Trust this though there will be huge crowd of Trumpsters out and about!

    1. The Trumpsters will be easy to find. All maskless and congregated around the Confederate monuments.

  2. As a former Gettysburg resident during college, having Joe Biden appear at Gettysburg is similar much more so to a visit by Lincoln, than having Trump or his cadre of confederates appear there much more like Lee and his traitorous ilk.
