Biden To Visit Lehigh Valley on Wednesday

President Joe Biden will be traveling to the Lehigh Valley on Wednesday.

According to a release from the White House Press Office, Biden will be in Macungie to “emphasize the importance of American manufacturing, buying products made in America, and supporting good-paying jobs for American workers.”

The Associated Press reports that Biden’s visit to the state comes as “he fights for passage in the Senate of a nearly $1 trillion infrastructure measure that a bipartisan group of senators brokered with him.”

This will be Biden’s fifth visit to the Keystone State since being sworn-in as president and his second stop in the commonwealth this month.

Two weeks ago, Biden delivered a voting-rights speech in Philadelphia

In late April, he delivered a speech at an event marking Amtrak’s 50th Anniversary in Philadelphia as part of the “Getting America Back on Track Tour.”

On March 31, Biden delivered an address in Pittsburgh promoting his infrastructure proposal. On March 16, Biden visited Delaware County to promote his administration signing the COVID-19 relief package.

The Allentown Morning Call reports that while this is Biden’s first visit to the Lehigh Valley since being sworn-in as president, Vice President Kamala’s Harris’ husband, Doug Emhoff, was “the last White House representative to visit the region, speaking to small business owners in Allentown this May.”
