Bryan Lentz Gets Rubber Stamp of Approval from Howard Dean
DREXEL HILL, PA – Former liberal Vermont governor, presidential candidate and chairman of the Democratic National Committee Howard Dean will headline a fundraiser for Rep. Bryan Lentz in Radnor tonight. Dean joins a long list of prominent left-wing politicians such as Nancy Pelosi, Steny Hoyer and Joe Biden who have recently traveled to the Philadelphia area to help raise funds for Bryan Lentz’s candidacy.
“The Lentz campaign resuscitation tour continues,” said Bryan Kendro, Meehan for Congress campaign manager. “With Bryan Lentz’s campaign running on fumes, he’s called in reinforcements from the liberal elite in Washington to bailout his campaign. Trailing in the polls and becoming increasingly desperate, Lentz has resorted to misleading attacks and scare tactics straight from the Nancy Pelosi/DCCC playbook.”
Bryan Lentz and Howard Dean both support the creation of a government-run public insurance option. Lentz expressed his support for a public option in an interview last spring.
“Bryan Lentz will be a rubber stamp for Washington Democrats’ far left policies, and that’s why they’re working so hard to get him elected,” Kendro continued.
Dean is most notable for his unhinged performance after his loss in the 2004 Iowa Caucuses.
