Casey: Comey Firing ‘Nixonian’

Bob-CaseySenator Bob Casey has made it clear he will be running in opposition to President Donald Trump, and he is continuing that opposition with the firing of FBI Director James Comey.

“This is Nixonian,” Casey led his statement with.

Casey’s strong words were picked up across the state, and by national press including the Washington Post, CNN, and The Hill.

In his statement, Casey also joined with the rest of the Senate Democratic Caucus calling for a special counsel to investigate Russian attempts in influence the 2016 election.

“Deputy Attorney General Rod Rosenstein must immediately appoint a special counsel to continue the Trump/Russia investigation,” Casey said.

“This investigation must be independent and thorough in order to uphold our nation’s system of justice.”

Casey took to twitter as well to share his displeasure with the Trump administration’s move.

Casey has been using Twitter more and more to get his message out and to publically push against the Trump administration.

  2. Gotta love how Trump apologists attack Dems, like Sen. Casey, for telling the truth. Trump fired someone who was investigating him. Nixon did the same. It’s not debatable, folks. It’s as plain as day. And, no, Lou won’t come to Trump’s defense. Trump’s numbers are tanking. No one — not even his closest allies — will be rushing for photo ops in 2018. Trump’s descent has begun and he brought it all on himself.

  3. I am amazed that President Trump doesn’t grasp the control and discipline needed for proper conduct of his elected office.

But I am even more amazed that the Congress has payed so little attention to their duty and Constitutional responsibility toward the separation of power that is the hallmark of our Republic.

Now is the time for all good citizens to remind them and our fellow citizen’s that responsibility to process and precedent are what allow us to have freedom.

  4. @jim. Casey as Senator makes a lot of Pennsylvanians regret they didn’t re-elect Santorum.

  5. We must be nearing an election for Senator, Casey slithered out from under his rock and repeated what Schumer told him to say to get his name in the media. Is George Soros running out of money to fund Democrat puppets?

  6. It is time for all Democrats, elected representatives or not to stand up to Trump. ENOUGH! Trump should be impeached. This is an outrage!

  7. Wm. Sessions was fired for abusing the office by questionable use of agency funds for personal reasons/gains.

  8. Another half-hearted bleat, and an incorrect analogy at that, from a Senator that should know better. It might have been even more idiotic except that Casey seems to have not had much guidance from Schumer yet. And Schumer? The grand puppetmaster has been beside himself with fury and mendacity all day.

  9. I think Gasey means CLINTONIAN. Remember went Clinton fired FBI Director William Sessions.
