Casey Endorses Lazarus for PA Supreme Court

Judge LazarusState Supreme Court candidate Anne Lazarus received the backing of Pennsylvania’s senior Senator today.

“It is not difficult to understand why the Pennsylvania Bar Association gave Judge Anne Lazarus a rating of ‘Highly Recommended.’ For over 20 years on the bench, Judge Lazarus has demonstrated her depth of knowledge of the law,” Senator Bob Casey said. “Her judicial temperament and experience will serve the Commonwealth well on the Pennsylvania Supreme Court.”

Sen. Casey’s father, Bob Casey Sr., actually appointed Lazarus to the Court of Common Pleas as Governor in 1991. She served on that body until her election to the PA Superior Court in 2009.

Judge Lazarus was also endorsement by two PACs: the Pennsylvania National Organization of Women PAC and Keystone Progress PAC.

“We’re proud to be supporting Anne Lazarus in her campaign for the Supreme Court because she stands for everything we hold dear,” said Caryn Hunt, President of PA NOW. “Judge Lazarus has dedicated her life to not only judicial ethics and the law, but her commitment to mentoring young women is unmatched. She is exactly the type of Justice the women of Pennsylvania need on the Court.”

“Anne Lazarus represents everything Pennsylvanians need in a Supreme Court Justice,” said Mike Morrill, Executive Director of Keystone Progress. “She is brilliant, thoughtful and loaded with integrity. She embodies the word ‘judicious.’ Keystone Progress PAC proudly endorses Judge Lazarus.”

  1. Philadelphia and Dougherty are gonna sink like the Titanic. I can’t wait.
    PS. CASEY YOUR DA MAN!!

  2. Keystone Progress – Now there is a reason for thinking people not to vote for her. If you think Scalia is in the bag for the right wingers, then put Lazarus in the bag for the socialists.

  3. Major help for the judge! She is not a party endorsed candidate but the senior US Senator endorsed her.
