Casey Statement on Medal of Honor Award to CMSgt Richard L. Etchberger

WASHINGTON, DC— U.S. Senator Bob Casey (D-PA) released the following statement after President Obama posthumously presented the Medal of Honor to Chief Master Sgt. Richard L. Etchberger:“Although his sacrifice only became public years later, the nation can now recognize and honor the bravery and valor of Chief Master Sgt. Richard L. Etchberger.  By selflessly defending his comrades against the enemy, this son of Hamburg, PA, did indeed risk his life above and beyond the call of duty.  As CMSgt Etchberger is posthumously awarded the Medal of Honor let us all remember his heroism and keep him and his family in our prayers.”
