Casey Statement on New Congress

Casey Statement on New Congress

WASHINGTON, DC— Following the start of the 112th Congress and the swearing-in of new senators, U.S. Senator Bob Casey (D-PA) released the following statement:

“As a new session of Congress begins, I hope that the spirit of bipartisanship we saw in December continues into the New Year.  Job creation and economic growth to put people back to work and put the economy back on the right track must continue to be our top priorities.  Partisanship and obstruction will not solve the country’s problems.
“Today, I accompanied Senator Toomey when he was sworn in on the Senate floor.  I look forward to working with him and the rest of the Pennsylvania delegation to make sure Pennsylvania’s voice is heard in Washington.”
