Turns out Acting AG Bruce Castor won’t release Doug Gansler’s report on the pornographic emails after all.
On Wednesday, those whose names were in the report were told and it caused a panic in the Attorney General’s office.
Now Wallace McKelvey of Patriot-News is reporting that Castor will be putting the report on an indefinite hold.
“While I remain Attorney General, I will not be approving the release of any part of the report until we can devise a procedure that, at the very least, allows for informed responses,” Castor stated.
It’s is unknown what Gov. Wolf’s nominee Bruce Beemer will do, although his tenure as First Deputy AG suggests he would be reluctant to cause such an uproar among the employees.
PoliticsPA reached out to the campaigns of GOP nominee John Rafferty and Democratic nominee Josh Shapiro to find out their positions.
“As a proponent of openness and transparency in state government, I obviously lean towards full public disclosure,” Rafferty responded. “However, in this instance, I do not believe it’s fair or appropriate for me to comment as to whether I would release the Gansler Report without first thoroughly reviewing its content and the author’s reasoning behind his conclusions. As I have said from the beginning of this campaign, my goal is to restore integrity and leadership to the office Attorney General. I will implement a very strong ethics policy on day one that will ensure nothing like this ever happens again.”
“We haven’t seen the report so it’s inappropriate to say we’d release it; Josh has previously said he’s on the side of transparency and making the emails themselves public,” Shapiro Campaign Manager Joe Radosevich told PoliticsPA. “It was disturbing to learn today that Senator Rafferty has been campaigning with one of the guys behind this whole scandal and we wonder if he knows why it’s wrong.”

As for your “defense” of your errors, let’s be clear about that too. After your “initial check” failed (without mentioning the source you supposedly used), you declared me a liar and treated your own investigation as unassailable. When I confronted you with a linked-in page (from a simple google search of the agent’s name), you accused me (without proof) of creating a fake page.
How thorough was your initial search, that you didn’t even Google the guy’s name and see his job, title, profession, etc? All it took was his name and “OAG”. It’s the first result. Duh.
I’ve got no idea if he was promoted, demoted, reprimanded. If he was promoted, it may have already been in the works. Maybe he was blackmailing Kane for the promotion (as he frequently posted that he possessed damaging information on her). He seemed pretty fixated on her alleged personal relationship with her driver (taking that as his handle and making frequent references). Maybe he was a jealous ex-lover, or a wannabee lover? Who knows? He certainly was unprofessional and undeserving of a badge (which doesn’t seem to be a barrier to carrying one these days).
But, he sure disappeared from here under his old handle. Has he reappeared under a new handle? I don’t know if he learned is lesson or not.
BTW, are you challenging me to PROVE to the rest of the site that you unquestionably previously posted under the handle Jerry Mulligan. And, if you are challenging me, what will you do once I prove it?

A subsequent check revealed that they thought he was promoted out of the Agent rank to a classification of supervisor because of your post. Kane had a way of doing that. Bruce Beemer isn’t there to be the “clean-up” guy. He’s there to be the “cover-up guy” so the email report never sees the light of day.
The AG’s office is supposed to be an independent check on the Governor and other elected officials. So, putting his own guy in there guarantees no one from AG office looking in his direction now or when Josh takes over.

How can I point to a reference after it was deleted by the admins? You sure cried a lot about the deletions, refusing to acknowledge you had crossed the line. You clearly have no idea where the line is. There was no one who thought my exposure would/could/should drive violence toward him. He posted his own resume online with his full address, occupation, and a tremendous load of BS self-promotion and horn tooting. His name has appeared in the news, like when he bungled a case against a casino dealer and falsely arresting him on trumped up charges, and the case was dismissed. He is a perfect example of what is wrong with law enforcement and a bullying mentality that needs to be scrubbed from police force.
You fail to grasp the asymmetry of your’s and kanesdrivers actions, as you hide behind your anonymity, like the cockroaches you are afraid of any sunlight. I posted a link to the linked-in page of an OAG officer who was stalking me, he subsequently disabled the link. Had I posted his address directly, rather than a link to his own PUBLIC linked-in page and resume, everyone would still be able to see it. Stalkers like SpongeBob can still look up the address in a voter file and post it, but stop lying and saying I posted his address.
I did complain, using my real name, and requested that his work computers be checked for searches about me. You were here last week saying no such person existed at OAG. Then you claimed I made up a phony linked in page. Then I had to show you a news article with the agent.
So, your claims that I didn’t report him using my own name don’t mean anything, nor do your other claims as to whether or not any action was taken against him. I reported him, and I left it to OAG to look into it. I don’t really expect them to discuss the matter publicly, but rather be professional (unlike him) and handle the matter through the chain of command. He deserves any punishment he gets for his misconduct.
I wouldn’t go as far to say that I “rule” here, but I do dominate a bit. What YOU (and the other cowards don’t get) that my remarks automatically have 10x the value of yours, because I post under my own name, and don’t keep changing identities, Jerry Mulligan.

The key issues facing Bruce Beemer

Now the clean-up effort begins.
Bruce Beemer, a former Allegheny County prosecutor, was nominated by Gov. Tom Wolf and likely will be confirmed by the Senate to serve as attorney general through the remaining four-plus months of convicted felon Kathleen Kane’s term.
Beemer’s the right guy. He knows the office having worked for former Attorney General Linda Kelly and then for Kane, most recently as first deputy. Beemer, now Wolf’s inspector general, testified against Kane at grand juries and was on her you-know-what-list while still in the AG’s office. She froze him out. She hired now-acting Attorney General Bruce Castor as solicitor general in March to have an experienced attorney she could count on for legal decisions and to further isolate Beemer. Kane’s law license was suspended last October after she’d been charged with crimes. A Montgomery County jury convicted her Aug. 15 of perjury, obstruction of justice and official oppression.
Castor is viewed by many as a Kane operative, which he denies.
Beemer was not a rebel in the AG’s office. He chose his battles carefully. He had the respect of most prosecutors and agents. He is a quiet leader.
Some key issues he’ll face:
• Putting the brakes on more taxpayer dollars flowing to BuckleySandler, the Washington, D.C., law firm Kane hired to do an investigation of pornographic and otherwise offensive emails crossing AG servers. Former Maryland Attorney General Douglas Gansler, of the same firm, has said the firm could be paid up to $2 million for the work. The tab now is nearly $900,000.
Expect the report soon. Is there a rush to get it out before Beemer takes over?
• Whether to fire Kane’s former bodyguard and confidant, Patrick Reese, who snooped on office employees’ emails to obtain information about the grand jury investigating her. Reese was convicted in a bench trial last December of indirect contempt of court. Under office policy, being charged with a crime should result in a suspension. But Reese has remained on staff at a salary of almost $100,000 a year. If that weren’t enough, Kane’s former political consultant Joshua Morrow testified at her trial that when he went to visit Kane, Reese took him to a parking garage. He confiscated his keys and cellphone. He then used an electronic device to make sure he wasn’t wired. It requires probable cause to detain and search someone.
• Whether to fire Jonathan Duecker, another Kane acolyte, who was promoted to acting chief of staff by Kane. An agency personnel official recommended that Duecker be fired due to two sexual harassment complaints. The AG’s office recently settled the lawsuit filed by former Human Resources official George Moore over his firing. He received a $150,000 settlement package.

You know very well you posted real world address with clearly implied threats/incitement of violence with the “suggestion” that police harass or that others harass. Your comments were removed from the site as inappropriate.
The difference (which you fail to grasp) is that I am a private citizen, and OAG agent was exceeding his authority and had made threats against me. He screwed up by investigating my linked-in profile and exposing his own profile. Police intimidation is a serious thing. He also made numerous comments Kane and her case that might have been leaks (depending upon their timing) as well as likely violations of professional conduct for his job.
But, I didn’t post address or attempt to locate his relatives. I outed him because his identity was relevant to his comments and hypocrisy. I didn’t “stalk” him like you keep trying to stalk me. I caught him stalking me and reported him. It’s a HUGE difference.
It’s also possible/likely that he performed a search on me using the OAG database, which would be a serious violation (by his own standards of saying Kane used the same database to search her political enemies when he called for her dismissal).
There was absolutely 100% certainty as to his identity, given his link-in fingerprint (which is enough to report him in the first place), and the match of his IP address location to his home address on his published resume. And, his attempts to cover his tracks and delete his horrid posts about Kane and kill his disqus account were all icing on the cake.
If I had misidentified kanesdriver, he would have blasted me, instead of trying to delete his online profiles.
