Though Democratic Wilkes-Barre attorney William Vinsko has not committed to challenging Republican U.S. Rep. Lou Barletta in 2012, he’s already got the usual campaign line down pat.

“I’m committed to helping the area, helping the people of the area,” he said Tuesday. “I was born and raised in this area. I believe in Northeastern Pennsylvania, and regardless of what decision I make, I will work hard.”

Vinsko has talked to many people as he explores a candidacy, he said. Discussions have ranged from jobs to health care to education. An announcement on his decision will be coming “soon,” he said.
