Perhaps not all publicity is good publicity.
We’ve already talked about former Governor Ed Rendell’s comments at length but Late Show host Stephen Colbert wanted to take his own shot at them, poking fun at Rendell during last night’s monologue.
Colbert noted that the ex-Governor’s remarks aren’t likely to be helpful to Hillary Clinton, before reading them aloud to the audience.
“There are probably more ugly women in America than attractive women,” Rendell told the Washington Post. “People take that stuff personally.”
“Yes and I have the feeling a lot of women are about to take that really personally,” Colbert retorted.
“I think Rendell is way out of line, America is filled with beautiful women,” he joked. “Especially after President Trump launches ‘Operation Uggos to Gitmo’. Seal Team Six, ugh, give me Seal Team Ten.”
You can view this portion of Colbert’s monologue from 1:38 to 2:40 in the video above.
