Congressman Gerlach Mails Lies to Berks County Instead of Talking to the People of Berks County
While He Refuses to Join Manan Trivedi for a Debate in Berks County, Gerlach is Happy to Stuff their Inboxes with Lies about Trivedi
This week, the people of Berks County found something odd in their mailboxes — lies about their neighbor, Manan Trivedi. Congressman Jim Gerlach went to Washington and stopped listening to the people of Berks, voting again and again against them. The only way serial prevaricator Jim Gerlach can keep his cushy seat in Washington is to cover up that failed record with lies again and again and again.
“Jim, if you are going to spread lies to my neighbors in Berks County,” Trivedi said, “at least have the courage to come up here and say it to my face.”
See how Gerlach’s campaign’s out-of-touch world clashes with reality:
1) In Gerlach’s campaign’s out-of-touch world, Trivedi filed his candidacy for Congress from a PO Box because he wasn’t living in the district at the time. In reality, Trivedi was happily renting a home in Reading after returning home from the service, before he filed his candidacy. Trivedi filed his campaign papers from a mailing address just as many other candidates do, including Jim Gerlach [http://query.nictusa.com/pdf/975/28930738975/28930738975.pdf#navpanes=0].
2) In Gerlach’s campaign’s out-of-touch world, Manan falsely says he was born and raised in the district. In reality, Trivedi was born in Reading and raised in Fleetwood, PA, both of which were in the 6th District before Jim Gerlach and his buddies in Harrisburg nonsensically gerrymandered the 6th District, rendering it completely unrecognizable.
3) In Gerlach’s campaign’s out-of-touch world, Manan is not employed at Reading Hospital. In reality, while Manan is currently unable to put in the hours his patients deserve and took a leave of absence for the sake of the hospital, he remains employed as an internist at Reading Hospital.
