On January 28th, PoliticsPA mistakenly reported that the Montgomery County Republican Committee voted to endorse incumbent Bruce Castor and Lower Merion commissioner Jenny Brown for this year’s County Commissioners race. We were mistaken. The vote reported was that of the Montgomery GOP’s Executive Committee. The full committee will vote on Feb. 9.

I wondered how long it would take before Kate Harper got this changed. She is e real solid candidate in the race to carry on the Jim Matthews legacy. The fools in the leadership of the county party just don’t see her greatness. That will send the party down to defeat. Short of the great man, Jim himself, running, Kate is the next best thing. History will vindicate Jim and his visionary government. That both parties have repudiated their stalwarts, Matthews and Hoeffel, shows just how out of touch partisan politicians are.
