Dan Hirschhorn, Formerly of Pa2010, Takes a Look at Joe Sestak’s Game Plan

By Keegan Gibson, Managing Editor

Having covered the former admiral for the entirety of his Senate campaign for pa2010, Dan Hirschhorn is pretty familiar with Joe Sestak.

Now Hirschhorn has made it to the big leagues, writing for Politico, but his PA contacts continue to come in handy.

Check out Hirschhorn’s story today about Sestak’s next move – speculation about which has ranged from a Senate primary challenge to Bob Casey, to a run for his old Congressional seat in Delaware County, to a 2014 gubernatorial bid, all the way up to a 2016 run at the White House.

Here’s Hirschhorn’s story.

Joe Sestak’s Down, but is he out?

“All of this has happened since his loss in the November Senate race, leading Pennsylvania insiders to ask: What’s Sestak up to?

“It’s a question of no small consequence in state political circles. The vacuum of Democratic leadership in Pennsylvania in the post-Ed Rendell era — and the decimating losses the party suffered last year — has left the ambitious former congressman as one of few top prospects for statewide office. Yet the bruising primary campaign he ran against former Sen. Arlen Specter — and his go-it-alone style — has left many party insiders with a bad taste in their mouths.”
