Santorum Thanks PA for ’06 Loss at PLC

Rick Santorum’s 2006 loss was a necessary “self-correction,” the presidential candidate said Saturday morning. He told a crowd of conservative activists at the Pa. Leadership Conference that his lopsided re-election defeat gave him a better perspective from outside the beltway.

SEPA Legislators Endorse David Christian

David Christian, a GOP candidate for the US Senate, received endorsements today from three Pennsylvania legislators. Senators Tommy Tomlinson (R-6) and Chuck McIlhinney (R-10) of Bucks County, and State Representative Tom Murt (R-152) all provided endorsements for Christian’s campaign.

Rep. Payton Knocked from Ballot

State Rep. Tony Payton withdrew his name from the April 24 primary ballot, after a line-by-line challenge voided over 1,600 of his 1,854 petition signatures. He is the only incumbent Pa. lawmaker seeking re-election not to make the ballot.

Pa. Congressmen React to IPAB Vote

The Republican-controlled US House of Representatives voted earlier today to repeal a Medicare cost-control board called for in President Obama’s health care agenda, according to a report circulated by the Associated Press.
