Dean Releases First Ad in PA-4 Primary

Pennsylvania’s newly formed 4th Congressional District has its first political ad. Democratic State Rep. Madeleine Dean released her ad, titled “Meet Mad” in her bid to become the first female U.S. Congressman from Pennsylvania since Allyson Y. Schwartz in 2015.

The ad focuses on her career in Harrisburg, including her role as Chair of the PA Safe caucus. She has advocated for “legislation that would ban bump stocks, create a system of universal background checks, and form an assault weapons ban according to a release.

The 30-second ad will help introduce Dean to voters in the district who do not know her ahead of the May 15th primary.

“That’s Montgomery County’s Madeleine Dean. A mother, educator, progressive reformer. Mad is leading the fight to reduce gun violence,” the ad’s narrator says.

Shira Goodman and Joseph Hoeffel are also running in the Democratic primary.

  1. We’re getting too hung up on “breaking the glass ceiling”. Everyone got googley eyed on electing a woman president in 2016 and look what we ended up with. One side, a woman that carried so much negative baggage VS a con artist huckster. Democrats need to start realizing they made a HUGE mistake in nominating Hillary Clinton in the first place and look for the best candidate that can return the country to normalcy in 2020. That might be the whitest 6 foot 3 1/4 inch man wearing a blue suit, white shirt and red tie that we can find, but whatever guarantees getting that orange grease spot out of the White House is what we need.

  2. According to her ad the reason Washington is a mess is because there are not enough women? That is ridiculous. Female politicians are just as dirty as men. Gotta have a better message than I am a female, accordingly, I am the best and most qualified.
