December 3rd Playbook

Several Democratic presidential hopefuls will participate in an education forum in Pittsburgh on Dec 14. Here is the Playbook.

The Full 2019 PA Society List of Events: The annual get together in New York City begins with events Thursday evening through Sunday morning.

Winning for Women Endorse Scheller: According to Politico’s Morning Score, Lisa Scheller, GOP hopeful for the 7th Congressional District, was one of 13 Republican House challengers endorsed by the “Republican outside group focused on recruiting more women candidates.”

Legislative Election Update: 

HD-34: Chris Roland, a North Braddock Borough Councilman, has announced a Democratic primary challenge against incumbent state Rep. Summer Lee (D-Allegheny). WESA’s Chris Potter reports that Roland describes himself as a “moderate,” while Lee is known as the “progressive champion.” 

HD-89: State Rep. Rob Kauffman (R-Franklin) announced that he is seeking a ninth term in the state House. He ran unopposed in his most recent reelection bid and won in 2016 over Democrat Christine Tolbert by 45 points.

  1. Harris is solid candidate that got bogged down politically attacking Biden in the initial debate causing her to get off on the wrong foot. Then when Tulsi Gabbard called Harris out on her record as Atty Gen in Calif Harris stumbled and fumbled her way to oblivion. Gabbard remains in the race and gaining ground on the net with supporters. Biden has withstood political attacks and getting a little more assertive in his jousting with other candidates.

    1. Gabbard is sponsored by Russians, she’s not a real candidate. Harris failed because her organization and messaging was a disaster.
