DeSales University/WFMZ Poll: Biden Leads Trump by 19 in PA7

Former Vice President Joe Biden extended his lead over President Donald Trump in this key battleground district in the Lehigh Valley, according to this latest poll.

According to a new DeSales University/WFMZ poll of likely voters, Biden leads Trump by 19 points, 56%-to-37%, in the 7th Congressional District.

Sec. Hillary Clinton narrowly bested Trump in these congressional boundaries in 2016.

36% of likely voters polled in the district said that they approved of Trump’s job performance, which is a 4% decrease for the president in comparison to their previous poll released on Oct. 13

This latest poll also shows Rep. Susan Wild (D-Lehigh) leading GOP challenger Lisa Scheller by 18 points, 54%-to-36%, in the district.

This poll, surveying 448 likely voters in the 7th District, has a margin of error of +/-4.4%.

This is the fourth public poll released in October for the 7th Congressional District that shows Biden leading Trump.

In the previous DeSales University/WFMZ poll of likely voters released on Oct. 13, Biden led Trump by 15 points, 54%-to-39%.
