While Ohio Governor John Kasich is more focused on winning his home state on Super Tuesday, he did pick up an endorsement from his neighboring state.
Former Governor and United States Attorney General Dick Thornburgh announced today that he is endorsing Kasich.
“I am delighted to endorse Governor Kasich. He has the experience, vision and common sense to be a great President. As the only governor still in the race— and being governor is a job I know well— he’s proven his ability to shake things up and get things done. He knows how to balance a budget.” Thornburgh said “He knows how to create jobs. He knows how to listen. There’s been a lot of talk and a lot of distractions in this race so far, but I’m supporting a man who has shown real leadership.
“I am very grateful to have the support of Governor Dick Thornburgh,” Kasich responded. “A deeply respected public servant, Dick is a remarkable yet humble leader who has dedicated his life to protecting the rule of law for the betterment of the American people. I would like to thank him for his help as we work to bring our positive and solutions-driven message to the great state of Pennsylvania.”
Thornburgh is not the first Pennsylvanian to endorse Kasich, joining former Governor Tom Ridge, Congressman Charlie Dent, and President Pro Tempore of the Senate Joseph Scarnati.
As Governor Thornburgh’s first Secretary of Revenue and an early member of Pennsylvanians for Kasich, I am delighted that a great former Governor and an experienced public servant Dick Thornburgh is supporting the most qualified person to be the next President of the United States. Former Governor Thornburgh has demonstrated leadership for Pennsylvania, the United States, and the international communities, and serious citizens who think seriously about the presidency should join him in supporting John Kasich for President.
Bono: yeah. He’s running for A.G.
Any pictures of Tony arising from the grave that he has inhabited fotr in excess of twenty years?
Like anybody even knows who Dick Thornburgh is!
Good Choice because I think is he will win a upset as a Republican Nominee is to be the next President in the United States, and winning the general election in 2016 as well.
Kasich may well be the worst
Choice of those candidates tied in to Republican establishment- Kasich wasn’t he a managing director for Lehman Brother? Didn’t Kasich support losers like Boehner, Lott and McConnell? Kasich is the voice of a flawed and failed republican establishment- no wonder dinosaurs like Ridge and Thornburgh come out of jungle to endorse. Whatever else the Nation needs a better direction than this hack and those relics. Better Hiliary or Bernie than the “3%” represented by elitists and losers like Kasick and Romney!
Big whoop. Tony Grosso just endorsed Trump.
I endorse Donald Drumpf!!!
