DNC Vice Chair Michael Blake to Headline PA Dems Keystone Dinner

Today, the Pennsylvania Democratic party sent out a press release stating that DNC Vice Chair Michael Blake will be the keynote speaker for the state party’s spring dinner in Hershey tomorrow, March 22. Along with his role as DNC Vice Chair, Blake is also currently serving his second term in the New York State Assembly.

In addition to Blake, the Keystone Dinner tomorrow evening beginning at 7 pm will include addresses from Lt. Gov. John Fetterman, Congresswoman Madeleine Dean, state Sen. Lindsey Williams, and state Rep. Margo Davidson.

The last state committee meeting dinner was headlined by Rep. Hakeem Jeffries (D-NY) in the fall.

The party is also convening on Saturday to endorse candidates for Superior Court.

The four candidates vying for the state party endorsement are Philadelphia Court of Common Pleas Judge Dan McCaffrey, brother of former state Supreme Court Justice Seamus McCaffery, Ryan James, a criminal trial and appellate lawyer from Allegheny County, Beth Tarasi, an attorney from Allegheny County, and Amanda Green-Hawkins, a lawyer and former Allegheny County Councilwoman.

The Pennsylvania Republican Party endorsed Cumberland County Judge Christylee Peck and prosecutor Megan King for Superior Court at their winter meeting. Former Montour County District Attorney Rebecca Warren is also seeking the GOP nomination, although she did not receive the party endorsement.

  1. Blake spoke at a previous Dem dinner. I think it was the June 2017 meeting. He did a great job, and got the crowd fired up.
