Eight Members of PA GOP Delegation Endorse Mastriano

Doug Mastriano

Eight GOP members of the Pennsylvania congressional delegation today endorsed Doug Mastriano for governor of the Commonwealth.

The joint endorsement came in a letter signed by Dan Meuser (R-Luzerne), Scott Perry (R-York), Lloyd Smucker (R-Lancaster), Fred Keller (R-Northumberland), John Joyce (R-Blair), Guy Reschenthaler (R-Allegheny), Glenn Thompson (R-Centre), and Mike Kelly (R-Butler).

“… (W)e are proud to endorse Doug Mastriano for Governor of Pennsylvania. Pennsylvania’s families are struggling to put gas in their cars and food on their tables. Progressive policies supported by Joe Biden and Josh Shapiro have led to fewer jobs, higher crime rates, rampant drug addiction, and less freedom for Pennsylvania’s hard-working families … Doug Mastriano’s passion for life, freedom and liberty make him the clear choice for our next Governor.”

“I am grateful and humbled to receive the endorsement of these great champions of liberty and prosperity,” said Mastriano. “I look forward to working with our Congressional Delegation and making our commonwealth a place where the people are free and the economy is thriving. We will be strong partner for change in Pennsylvania.”

One Republican member of the delegation did not sign the statement – Rep. Brian Fitzpatrick (R-Bucks).

James Singer, spokesperson for the Democratic Congressional Campaign Committee, called on those GOP candidates running for congressional seats to make their preference known as well. “GOP candidates for Congress need to stop hiding their support for Doug Mastriano and tell Pennsylvania the truth.”

  3. These endorsements are like your Dad and Mom writing a letter to the editor saying how great you are meaning if Sen Doug thinks this is big news his candidacy is like the Titanic and its sinking, baby! Our country was founded on religious freedom and the weird connection Sen Doug has to the far Christian Right is not helpful. Because the country has many non Christians and supposedly all are welcome in America. Doesn’t it seem conflicting to say you have no association to a group you gave $5000 to like Mastriano did to the Gab group?

  4. GOP selling out PA toward living under Mastriano’s American Taliban. Mastriano has no interest in freedom. Instead, he hides his real intentions under the banner of liberty as he attempts to push a dystopian version of the America to gain power. He and Trump only seek to use and abuse the name of God to prop up their hateful traditions and power-hungry egos. Pennsylvanians are not stupid and you can’t pull the wool over the eyes of true freedom-loving conservatives. Better to deal with the known quantities on DEM side than the Anti-Christ Mastriano. If you think mask mandates are bad, try having religious fundamentalists dictate cult-like policies and bans all over the state. All power trends toward tyranny eventually. And Mastriano is the far right heading toward a theocracy. No thanks.
