Evan Feinberg, the conservative Republican running against Rep. Tim Murphy (R-Allegheny), has challenged the incumbent to a debate during Mr. Anderson’s 3rd period study hall.

“Congressman Murphy’s constituents have the right to see him defend his positions in person,” Feinberg said. “I am willing to debate any time, anywhere. As long as it’s during third period, lunch, or on Wednesdays or Thursdays after marching band.”

  1. As a graduate of Upper St. Clair High School, I am offended by the insinuation that Feinberg went to school there. If I remember correctly, he is from Washington, DC. Please leave the proud Panther nation out of your April Fools jokes, Politics PA.

  2. The reason why this story is funny is because it’s what everyone is thinking – that Evan Feinberg is more suited for senior class president. I can’t imagine anyone going into the voting booth and voting for him to be our Congressman. The Feinberg candidacy is a dangerous April Fool joke.

  3. Um, Luci, you do realize that all Politics PA stories today were satirical in honor of April Fools? Looks like joke is on you.

  4. Does Feinberg think being a member of Congress is a joke? He is embarrassing to watch.

  5. This could be historic debate, as another term of Republican control could eliminate all PA schools
