Former Hazleton Mayor Enters Race for PA-11

Democrat Mike Marsicano announced he is entering the race for the 11th Congressional district next year.

“My life has always revolved around public service,” Marsicano said in an announcement video.

Marsicano was the Mayor of Hazleton for four years starting in 1995.  Prior to that, he was a member of the Pennsylvania National Guard and a State Police Trooper.

Marsicano ran in the 11th district in 2016, running unopposed in the primary, and losing in the general election to Congressman Barletta by 27 points.

Alan Howe and former state Agriculture Secretary Denny Wolff are both also running for the seat.

  1. This guy is TERRIBLE. I saw him at a debate where Barletta couldn’t come and he put Rep Toohil in his place to talk about opioids. Since Mike has zero knowledge on the topic, he literally attacked Toohil, a surrogate, the entire time. This guy is bad news. He was lose badly. Sad!

  2. Ask him if was ever the pilot for Kids for Cash criminal Bob Powell’s private plane who flew the kids for cash judges back and forth to FL.
Ask him if they ferried any cargo to and from FL.
    He is a loser.

  3. Mike gonna travel all over the 11th District in the same plane he used to pilot his buddies involved in the kids for cash scandal?

  4. I’m going to go out on a limb and say the Democrats shouldn’t nominate the guy that *just* lost by 27 points, but what do I know?

    1. and basically tied Barletta in the City of Hazleton which is heavily registered D PLUS lost in Luzerne County by 26,000 votes, another D hole.
