GOP Summer State Committee Preview

HersheyLodgeGardensAs the budget grinds on through the weekend the question to ask of the GOP meeting will really be: who will show up? There are no extracurricular receptions or breakfasts planned, nor any events open to the press.

And with no known primary challengers to incumbent Governor Tom Corbett, the meeting will lack some of the scheming and elbow-rubbing of this summer’s Democratic State Committee meeting.

Nevertheless there are events for GOP operatives and county chairmen to meet, greet and have some fun. Yesterday the PA GOP Open was held at the Hershey Country Club followed by a reception.

  1. The PaGOP have a real hot one in the Philly Controllers race. This guyTerry Tracy is shaking it up and firing up young people who are growing in the city big time.
And the honchos Harrisburg might want to wake up and get behind the kid.

Between him, John Taylor becoming the head of Philly GOP, Pa might actually have a shot at getting another foothold in Philadelphia elective politics Who knew a some young guy could stir up such excitement.

  2. The Money session is where ALEC shows up to hand out checks and give them the laws they want passed in the fall. And if they are good little minions, they get to go to ALEC’s big Arizone Party in the fall.

  3. They also need a day to how they change their values or the party will be dead
