Gov. Rendell Endorses Cohen for City Council

SherrieCohenEd Rendell, Pennsylvania’s Governor from 2003 to 2011, endorsed Sherrie Cohen for City Council at Large.

Cohen, an attorney, is the daughter of the late Philadelphia Councilman David Cohen.

She has also been endorsed by Congressman Robert A. Brady as well as State Representatives Brian Sims and W. Curtis Thomas. Additionally, the Philadelphia Democratic City Committee is supporting her bid.

In a press release, Cohen for Council said, “Our message is being heard and Sherrie is more than honored to have Governor Rendell join a diverse list of supporters for this campaign.”

Rendell, who previously served as Mayor of Philadelphia from 1991 to 1999, last month also threw his support behind another City Council at Large candidate, Paul Steinke.
