Sen. Kamala Harris (D-CA) will be traveling to the Keystone State this week.
On Thursday, the Democratic vice presidential nominee will be visiting Philadelphia, according to a release from Biden’s campaign. The Philadelphia Inquirer’s Jonathan Tamari reports that this will be Harris’ first visit to the city since being selected as former Vice President Joe Biden’s running mate.
Additional details about her upcoming visit have not been announced yet.
Both members of the Democratic presidential ticket will be in the state on Thursday. Biden will be in Scranton for a CNN town hall, moderated by Anderson Cooper. The town hall will begin at 8 pm and will “feature a socially-distanced live audience, will follow Pennsylvania’s guidance and regulations regarding the coronavirus pandemic,” according to CNN.
On Tuesday night, Trump will participate in an ABC News “20/20” town hall in Philadelphia, anchored by ABC News Chief Anchor George Stephanopoulos. ABC News reports that the one-hour, live event will begin at 9 pm.
Trump, Biden, and Vice President Mike Pence all made visits in Pennsylvania last week as well.
On Labor Day, Biden attended a virtual town hall from Harrisburg with AFL-CIO President Richard Trumka. Last Tuesday, Pence headlined a “Workers for Trump” event in Beaver County and talked pro-life related issues in a visit to Westmoreland County. Last Friday, both Trump and Biden visited the Flight 93 National Memorial on September 11.
