HD-103: Davidson Joins Growing List of Candidates

Nate Davidson

Long-time Democratic staffer Nate Davidson has announced that he will launch his campaign for the state House 103rd Legislative District seat on January 14.

The first-time candidate, who last year was appointed and unanimously confirmed by Harrisburg City Council to the Board of Capital Region Water, has served as House Democratic Caucus Floor Manager and also as the Senior Advisor to the Appropriations Committee Chair.

“This election is about sending the best advocate for our community to the Capitol, and I am truly humbled by the support I have received from friends in the community as well as supporters from outside the Susquehanna valley,” said Davidson. “The campaign is just getting started and I look forward to speaking with more neighbors about why we need a pro-choice, pro-public education, and pro-union Representative in the House.”

The graduate of Messiah College says he plans to use his experience to prioritize funding for local projects like rebuilding the Broad Street Market, investing in public schools, defending a woman’s right to choose, and delivering a high standard of constituent services.

Davidson also said in a statement that he will report more than $20,000 raised in the first month of the campaign.

He is joined in the field to replace Rep. Patty Kim (D-Cumberland/Dauphin) by UPMC executive Tina L. Nixon, Camp Hill Borough Councilwoman Mercedes Evans, and Lemoyne Borough Councilman Jesse Monoski. Kim announced that she will leave the chamber to run for the 15th District state Senate seat.

The House 103rd District includes parts of Harrisburg, Camp Hill, Lemoyne, Wormleysburg and East Pennsboro Township.
