Kathleen Kane will put her substantial war chest into play starting tomorrow, according to a campaign source. The former Lackawanna County prosecutor will go on the air in most parts of the state.
The buy for the first week will be $300,000.
PoliticsPA will update this story when we obtain a copy of the ad, likely to be a positive, 30 second introductory spot. It may also make mention of Kane’s endorsement – announced yesterday – from former President Bill Clinton.
Kane faces former Bucks County Congressman Patrick Murphy in the Democratic primary. Kane had over $2 million on hand as of the most recent report, released in March. Murphy had about $1.2 million at that time.
Most of Kane’s bankroll comes from friends and family, including a $1.8 million loan from her husband.
Murphy has been on television for about a week in the Pittsburgh market. A media-buying source indicates that he extended that initial buy this week.

It would also be good to have an AG who has actually tried a case to verdict.
Looking forward to Kathleen Kane’s ads. Independent Republicans have to consider an Attorney General candidate INDEPENDENT of the Establishment Insiders of both parties.
