Kasich Hits the Ground in PA

John KasichJohn Kasich is scheduled to make his first appearance in the Keystone State on Thursday, knowing he needs a strong showing in PA to keep his presidential campaign up and running.

The latest Franklin & Marshall poll shows the Ohio Governor closing in on Donald Trump.

The Union League of Philadelphia is hosting a reception in honor of Kasich, with doors opening at 6 p.m. Admission to the reception will cost “supporters” $1,000 or $500 for “friends” of Kasich’s campaign.

A VIP reception starts at 5 p.m., where supporters can meet some of the Ohio Governor’s surrogates, including former Gov. Tom Ridge. The VIP reception costs $2,700/person or $5,400/ couple.

On Friday morning, Kasich will hold a town hall meeting at the Antique Automobile Club of America Museum in Hershey, starting at 10 a.m. (Doors open at 9:30).

Kasich will finish his short tour of PA with a speech at the PA Leadership Conference at 1 p.m. on Friday. The Honorable Earl Baker will introduce Kasich at the event.

Texas Sen. Ted Cruz is slated to appear at the PALC at 4 p.m. Friday.

  2. He should make a stop at Beaver Stadium. People from Ohio are usually pretty successful there.
