Keystone Progress PAC Releases First TV Ad, “What’s Tom Corbett Hiding?”

(HARRISBURG, PA)—The newly-formed Keystone Progress Political Action Committee (KPPAC) announced today that is has released its first television ad titled “What’s Tom Corbett Hiding?”  The ad is a light-hearted look at a serious topic–Tom Corbett’s refusal to comply with Pennsylvania’s right to Know Law.

The ad can be viewed at http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dR_KZzLEPf8

Keystone Progress filed a Right to Know request in April seeking correspondence between Corbett’s Office of Attorney General and Republican Party operatives.  Keystone Progress received copies of emails from the Republican State Leadership Committee that were received by members of Corbett’s staff.  Corbett has refused to acknowledge the existence of those emails or any others that Keystone Progress is seeking.  Last month, Keystone Progress filed a suit in Commonwealth Court to force Corbett to comply with the law and release the emails.
The ad features a Tom Corbett look-alike who is trying to hide emails in a suspended ceiling, under couch cushions and in a hole he has just dug.  It asks people to sign KPPAC’s petition at http://whatstomhiding.com

“The question of what Tom Corbett is hiding should be answered before Pennsylvanians go to the polls in November,” said Michael Morrill, representing KPPAC.  “Our Attorney General should be above reproach, and so should anyone seeking to become our next governor.”

The ad will air in selected markets across Pennsylvania beginning this weekend.
