Lamb Joins Problem Solvers Caucus

A fifth member of Pennsylvania’s congressional delegation has joined the House Problem Solvers Caucus. 

Rep. Conor Lamb (D-Allegheny) is one of the sixteen new members of the bipartisan House Caucus.  

“It is time to come together to move America forward,” Lamb said in a press release. “I look forward to working with my colleagues, Republicans and Democrats, to develop and pass commonsense solutions to our country’s toughest challenges.”

The Problem Solvers Caucus, created in 2017, is “committed to finding common ground on many of the key issues facing the nation.” 

The bipartisan House caucus now has 56 total members – 28 Democrats and 28 Republicans. Lamb joins fellow Pennsylvania Reps. Brian Fitzpatrick (R-Bucks), who serves as Co-Vice Chair, Chrissy Houlahan (D-Chester), Dan Meuser (R-Luzerne), and Lloyd Smucker (R-Lancaster).

Pennsylvania’s 5 current members in the caucus are tied with Michigan for the second most of any state. The lone state with more is California with 7 members. 

Rep. G.T. Thompson (R-Centre) and former Congressmen Ryan Costello (R-Chester), Charlie Dent (R-Lehigh), and Pat Meehan (R-Delaware) were previously members of the caucus as well.

  1. He’s positioning himself as the most conservative Dem running for the Toomey seat.

  2. Conor Lamb has integrity and principles and is running just right. He should leave the Dems because he has a tremendous opportunity.

  3. Conor Lamb needs to slow down and remember he is a Democrat. Running way too hard to the right. Must be really scared, or ambitiously opportunistic. Have some integrity and principles beyond re-election.
