Manan Trivedi Earns Endorsement from Democracy for America

Wins Grassroots Support as Campaign Builds Momentum Toward Fall

Elverson, PA – Building on the grassroots energy that carried him to success in the primary, Manan Trivedi received the endorsement today of Democracy for America (DFA). The nation’s largest grassroots political action community, DFA has a long history of backing candidates who stand up to Washington and giving them the extra boost they need to win in November. Since its founding, the organization has grown to over 1 million voices for change nationwide.

“I’m honored to announce Democracy for America’s endorsement of a progressive champion who will move us forward – Manan Trivedi.” said Jim Dean, Chair of Democracy for America. “Manan has been a soldier and doctor and he has the strength of experience to stand up for the people of his district against corporate lobbyists in Washington.”

With 11 weeks left until election day, DFA has pledged to support the campaign to its fullest — putting volunteers at the doors, money in the coffers, and pushing Trivedi’s message out to a wider audience of grassroots activists within the district and nationwide.

“DFA has been an unrelenting force for change for a decade now, and I am so proud to have their support,” Trivedi said. “I know that to win against an entrenched incumbent who has grown accustomed to his time in Washington, a man who has the support of the special interests and Republican leadership, it is going to take grassroots support. When I win this election, it will be thanks to grassroots supporters, hard-working volunteers, and the people of the 6th district — and that’s who I’ll be representing in Congress.”

Trivedi has gained the support of the people of his district and grassroots activists because of his strong positions on the issues that matter most to those in our community. He has a comprehensive plan to create jobs right here in South-Eastern Pennsylvania, while stopping tax breaks for companies who ship jobs overseas. In Congress, he has pledged to stand up to reckless spending in Washington, protect Social Security and end Wall Street bailouts.

Manan Trivedi is the Democratic nominee for Congress in Pennsylvania’s 6th Congressional District. He is a primary care physician, a former Lt. Commander in the U.S. Navy, and an Iraq War veteran from Berks County.
