March 12th Playbook

Rep. Mary Gay Scanlon endorses former Vice President Joe Biden’s campaign, while the Cook Political Report keeps Pennsylvania as a toss-up state for the general election in their most recent ratings. Here is the Playbook.

Scanlon Endorses Biden for President: The Delaware County Congresswoman is the seventh Democrat in the state’s Congressional delegation to endorse Biden’s campaign.

Cook: PA Remains a Toss Up for General Election: In their latest electoral scorecard, Pennsylvania is listed as one of six states in the toss-up column.

SD17: Dean and Scanlon Endorse Cappelletti: Reps. Madeleine Dean (D-Montgomery) and Mary Gay Scanlon (D-Delaware) endorsed Amanda Cappelletti, Vice-Chair of the East Norriton Board of Supervisors, for the Democratic Party nomination for the 17th state Senate District. The seat is held by state Sen. Daylin Leach (D-Montgomery), who won his most recent reelection bid in 2016 by 27 points over Republican Brian Gondek.

Legislative Election Update:

HD-18: For Our Future PA, the Pennsylvania operation for the nation’s “largest super PAC devoted to grassroots Democratic turnout,” launched a canvassing and digital media campaign in HD-18 in support of Democrat Howie Hayes for the upcoming special election in the state House’s 18th District.
