March 3rd Playbook

President Donald Trump will make his first trip to the state in 2020 later this week for a Fox News town hall in Scranton, while former New York City Mayor Michael Bloomberg will campaign in Pittsburgh on Thursday. Here is the Playbook. 

Trump To Participate in Fox News Town Hall in Scranton: This town hall will be Trump’s first in the 2020 election cycle and his first visit to the state this year.

Fitzgerald and 11 SWPA Commissioners Endorse Biden: 12 county commissioners in southwestern Pennsylvania announced their support for former Vice President Joe Biden’s campaign on Monday afternoon.

Bloomberg to Campaign in Pittsburgh: Bloomberg’s visit on Thursday will be his third trip to the keystone state since entering the race and his first to western Pennsylvania.

Fiedler Endorses Sanders: State Rep. Liz Fiedler (D-Philadelphia) announced on Monday that she is endorsing Sen. Bernie Sanders presidential campaign. Fiedler becomes the second member of the state House to endorse the Vermont Senator, joining state Rep. Sara Innamorato (D-Allegheny), and the second elected official from Philadelphia, joining Philadelphia City Councilmember Helen Gym

Squilla Endorses Bloomberg: Philadelphia City Councilmember Mark Squilla, who represents the city’s 1st District, announced on Monday that he is backing former New York City Mayor Michael Bloomberg’s bid for the White House.
