May 12th Playbook

Dr. Jill Biden will hold virtual events in Pennsylvania, two PA Republicans are appointed to a GOP-led China Task Force, and Roll Call names Rep. Scott Perry as the 9th most vulnerable House incumbent. Here is the Playbook.

PA7: Wild Bests Browning, Scheller in Q1 Haul: Rep. Susan Wild’s campaign raised over $530,000 during this first quarter of 2020, while a $300,000 loan from Lisa Scheller to her campaign brings her total to $450,000 in the first three months of 2020.

PA10: Brier Ad Spotlights Campaign from Home: The Democratic Congressional hopeful’s first television ad features a number of volunteers virtually vouching for a number of positions that the candidate is backing, plus encouraging voters to apply for mail-in ballots.

Joyce and Reschenthaler Appointed to GOP-Led China Task Force: Reps. John Joyce (R-Blair) and Guy Reschenthaler (R-Allegheny), who were selected by House Minority Leader Kevin McCarthy, will serve on the 15-member Republican China Task Force.

Roll Call: Perry Listed as 9th Most Vulnerable House Incumbent: The ratings outlet points to Perry being a member of the conservative House Freedom Caucus in a district that isn’t as GOP friendly as the previous seat he held, coupled with the possibility of facing state Auditor General Eugene DePasquale, who they describe as a “well-funded Democratic opponent” and one of the Democrats “top recruits.”

Jill Biden To Hold Virtual Events in PA: According to a release from former Vice President Joe Biden’s campaign, Dr. Jill Biden will virtually visit the Pittsburgh Science and Technology Academy and attend a virtual organizing event with volunteers in Philadelphia on Tuesday.
