One Response

  1. I could not help but think that the Republicans may have outsmarted themselves. Seeking to lessen the Governor’s power in an emergency and substituting their politics instead can have the result of unintended consequences. Is it that far fetched to think that someday a Republican Governor may deal with a Dem legislature and want the emergency powers but instead will have to deal with knucklehead legislators who think they know better? And although the Dem State Senate lacks leadership and was outplayed by the Republicans, once again, on these 2 ballot issues (R’s bombarded the public with mailers and there was no mailer arguing against the 2 ballot issues)—there could be a day when the roles are reversed and the R’s want the power they now want to deny the Gov. Interesting to think about.
