The presidential race is within the margin of error according to the final poll by The Allentown Morning Call and Muhlenberg College. President Obama leads Mitt Romney by 3 points.
That’s two points narrower than the Morning Call’s mid-October poll, which showed Obama ahead 50 percent to 45.
Opinions of Romney are positive for the first time, 47 percent favorable and 45 unfavorable. Obama is viewed 48 percent favorably and 47 percent unfavorably.
The pollster surveyed 430 likely Pa. voters from November 1 to 3. The margin of error is plus or minus 5 percent.
Real Clear Politics puts the race at a 4.1 point spread in Obama’s favor, 49.4 percent to 45.3, according to an average of Pa. polls. That does not yet include today’s MCall numbers,
MCall also reported that Sen. Bob Casey leads GOP challenger Tom Smith by 6 points. PoliticsPA is seeking the specific numbers.
