McGinty Adds Three to Campaign Team

Kathleen-McGintyAs the election year of 2014 approaches, Democratic candidate for Governor Katie McGinty is bolstering her campaign with three new hires.

The McGinty campaign announced today that Jennifer Rapach, John Fennell and Abu Edwards are all being brought on to the former DEP Secretary’s team.

“Our campaign is about improving the lives of hard-working Pennsylvania families and that begins by creating jobs and restoring funding for our schools. By adding Jennifer, John and Abu, we are building a strong team built to win in May and again in November,” McGinty said. “This campaign is not just about who can raise the most money, but who can connect with and fight for working families. With these terrific additions to our team, we can build a brighter and better Pennsylvania.”

Jennifer Rapach
Rapach is a former Political Director for the SEIU 32BJ in Western PA. Before that, she worked in the House Democratic Campaign Committee as the Western Pennsylvania Political Director. She was also a member of Congressman Jason Altmire’s staff. A native of western PA, it seems fair to say she was brought on at least in part to work on that section of the state. She is a graduate of Indiana University of Pennsylvania.

John Fennell
Fennell, on the other hand, is more experienced in eastern PA politics. Among his experiences, he served as a Field Director for Andy Toy’s City Council campaign in Philadelphia. Fennell was also the Delaware County organizer for the Dan Onorato gubernatorial campaign in 2010. Fennell is a resident of King of Prussia and an alum of Cabrini College.

Abu Edwards
Edwards is a Philly native and currently serves on the Philadelphia City Democratic Committee. In 2012, Edwards was a field organizer for the Obama campaign in Philadelphia. He has also worked as a Regional Director for Mayors Against Illegal Guns and as an organizer for Cory Booker’s Senate campaign in New Jersey. Edwards went to Wilberforce University.
