McGinty Joins Militia Hill Ventures

Katie_McGinty1-247x300Former U.S. Senate candidate and Governor Tom Wolf’s Chief of Staff Katie McGinty has been named a Partner at Militia Hill Ventures (MHV).  

“Militia Hill is an accomplished and highly respected team at the cutting edge of transforming promising immunotherapy, gene therapy and other innovations into companies that are positioned to thrive, grow and ultimately deliver relief to patients and cures for devastating diseases. It is an honor to be part of such urgent and worthwhile work,” McGinty said in a release announcing her position.  

MHV is a firm that helps create and develop life sciences companies in the Philadelphia area.  MHV is a woman-owned company.

McGinty’s private sector resume includes serving at a Director with NRG Energy, a Senior Vice President and Managing Director with Weston Solutions, and an Operating Partner Element Partners.

  1. Her dad was a policeman and her mother was a hostess in a diner. That message was supposed to convince us that she should be a Senator? MHV is getting a political lightweight.

    I guess her leaving politics is a political story, since her name would keep being floated to run for various offices. I’m assuming she’s there to use her political connections to lobby officials to grease the wheels to help MHV start companies.

    However, despite that, I still think she is a good choice to run for state rep in her district.

  4. Katie is the worst. Proud Dem so happy to vote for Toomey. No reluctance at all. Couldnt vote for her as an untalented empty suit cheerleader. Please let us never see her on the ballot again. Well, she may run for President in 2020. Only thing better than losing Governor and Senator is President,right?

  5. At least she got rid of that pesky lie that she was the first in her family to go to college in her new bio.
