McGinty Unveils New Video and Website
The gubernatorial campaign of Katie McGinty is now in full swing as the candidate unveiled her new website accompanied by a new web video.
In what is intended to be a regular series, the campaign released the first installment of their “Katie Direct” videos to promote the new site and McGinty’s rationale for running.
The video was shot in McGinty’s home with help from her family to give it a full homespun feel. In the ad, the candidate gives the sell featured in many early campaign videos: asking voters to send in their ideas and introducing herself by detailing her personal and political background.
McGinty highlights her work in the Clinton Administration and her position as Secretary of Environmental Protection during Governor Rendell’s tenure. She also provides a number of photos of her with the popular former President, including one in the Oval Office.
“We were seventh in job creation, we led the country in wind energy jobs and solar jobs,” McGinty says about her time in the Rendell Administration. “We can do that again. Governor Corbett’s taken us in the wrong direction but it’s time to leave him behind.”
“Our campaign to build a better Pennsylvania is gaining momentum every day. With new leadership and new ideas, we can create good-paying jobs, strengthen our schools, revitalize our cities, and improve the lives of hard-working Pennsylvania families,” McGinty said. “I urge everyone to visit our new website at katiemcginty.com and sign up for alerts. Working together, we can make it Pennsylvania’s time to shine.”
Other Democratic candidates for Governor include Rep. Allyson Schwartz, State Treasurer Rob McCord, fellow former DEP Secretary John Hanger, Allentown Mayor Ed Pawlowski, and former Secretary of the Department of Revenue Tom Wolf.
