Former state Revenue Secretary and 11th Congressional district candidate Dan Meuser reportedly ended the third quarter with $275,000 on hand.
Meuser reportedly donated $260,000 to his campaign, and raised an additional $26,000.
“The people of the 11th District have reacted positively to our campaign. I’ll be taking my conservative record of getting things done to every corner of the district in the coming months, and I am looking forward to sharing my vision to put America First,” Meuser said in a release.
In the release, Meuser touted his support of Congressman Lou Barletta’s (R-Luzerne) Senate bid.
“The opportunity to run for Congress was unexpected, and I kept my commitments to candidates running in important judicial elections this year as well as focused helping my friend Lou Barletta in his campaign for Senate,” Meuser said.
State Rep. Steve Bloom is also running for the seat and reported raising $110,000 dollars. Businessman Andrew Lewis announced his bid for the seat this morning. Former Trump delegate to RNC Andrew Shecktor is also running for the seat.

What a poor showing.
Hey–I like a guy who can self-fund. Doesn’t owe anybody anything. Loved that also about Trump.
But this candidate, unlike Trump, is actually rich and can self-fund in real life.
Read the full press release today and seems to me Meuser was doing something really great. He kept commitments he made to help raising money and support other candidates in September, like all the Republican judicial candidates and even Lou Barletta. I’m pretty sure he helped a lot of municipal candidates too but didn’t even talk about that. It was pretty clear that Dan purposely didn’t solicit money from people last month in order to focus on helping these others in his party and that he’s now going to start kicking his own fundraising into gear. That’s pretty awesome to help others financially before helping himself. Good quality for someone who wants to be in Congress!
