The House Democratic Campaign Committee is bringing on Nathan Davidson to fill the position.
The previous office holder was Ethan Smith, who stepped down in December.
A Hershey native, Davidson will lead the party into the 2016 elections. He also reportedly served as field director for the California Democratic Party.
“It is a great pleasure of mine to welcome Nathan Davidson to the HDCC. I am looking forward to executing an aggressive plan to recruit high quality candidates and add more members to our strong and diverse caucus,” said State Representative Mike Carroll, the Chair of the HDCC. “Nathan brings a depth of experience in local, statewide, and national politics, and I believe that his leadership will put our committee on the path to victory in 2016.”
“I am honored to be joining the HDCC for the 2016 election cycle, and am excited to grow the House Democratic Caucus,” Davidson responded. “The Commonwealth of Pennsylvania deserves legislators who will fight for a fair shot for all Pennsylvanians. Together with Rep Carroll and the Democratic Leadership in the House, I look forward to making a positive impact in my great home state.”
