NATIONAL PARK SERVICE AND AMERICAN REVOLUTION CENTER TO COMMEMORATE COMPLETION OF LAND EXCHANGE WITH “SIGNING” CEREMONY

Center to Also Announce Plans for Museum Launch

 

WHAT:           The National Park Service and The American Revolution Center have completed a land exchange that will strengthen two iconic National Parks and benefit the American people. With this exchange, Valley Forge National Historical Park gains 78 acres of historic land and The American Revolution Center acquires a site at 3rd and Chestnut Streets in historic Philadelphia to build the nation’s first museum to commemorate the entire story of the American Revolution. Located just steps from Independence Hall, the museum will house the Center’s distinguished collection of objects, artifacts, and manuscripts from the American Revolution.
